Community Input
Between August 2022 and January 2023, NDOT held 15 kitchen-table style conversations, in English and Spanish, with nearly 150 members of this community. Topics of discussion included the project’s purpose and need, concerns and challenges of living near the freeway, types of freeways, community enhancements, and the proposed HOV interchange at Maryland Parkway.
The input received from the community was shared with NDOT’s team of engineers, and they developed new designs that incorporate this input while reducing the overall impact.
The interactive graphic below shows how community feedback has helped shape the designs of our new alternatives. Click each number to see the community feedback and changed design elements in that area.
